It’s been a while since I’ve shared pictures of my home and I’ve made quite a few changes recently! Years ago I did a “Before and After” post of the house which showed the house shortly after I moved in and then after I did some renovations ( you can view the post here). So consider this the after the after post! One of the biggest changes I notice when I look back at the older photos is that I have incorporated much more vintage. Since we started Coveted Home Flea a year ago in the shop my love for vintage has grown and its creeping up all over my house!
Another big change has been the rugs. After our trip to Morocco in 2015 my love for African textiles has grown. I already had the vintage chair upholstered in mudcloth, but added the rug (purchased on my trip) and the mudcloth pillows on the sofa (shop our mudcloth pillows here).
Almost all the pottery in my house is vintage, from Coveted Home Flea. (shop our vintage pottery here)
Vintage chairs from CH Flea. Rug and leather pouf from my Morocco trip. (crazy enough there are still a few rugs and 1 floor pouf available in the store from this trip! (you can shop them by clicking this link.)
I just dreamt up big plans for restyling this bookshelf and its gonna be good! Loving my growing collection of pottery.
I’ve gone through several iterations of dining chairs and this might be my favorite combo. While it is kind of sparse, it is really versatile and perfect for our everyday use. When we have company we just pull chairs over if need be. The mismatched gallery wall of art got changed out for this large abstract. I also moved the jute rug that was here into the kitchen and brought in this vintage Persian rug.
Not huge changes in the kitchen–swapped the Crate & Barrel bar stools I had previously for some more unique vintage stools with backs.
I also changed out the pendant light over the sink. The old one was sleek and minimal but I love this one from Vestige Home and how it stands out against the tile.
Big changes in the bedroom! When I painted the walls “tan” before I thought the color looked like sand and was pretty. But after living with them for a bit I realized they were just beige and boring. I debated over a new color for forever, heavily contemplated going dark and then ultimately landed on Farrow & Ball’s “Lamp Room Gray”. Its the kind of color that changes throughout the day, sometimes looking gray, sometimes green and sometimes I even see some blue in it!
One of my favorite additions to the bedroom is the ceramic hanging moon chime. (shop here)
New bedside tables and all vintage pottery from CH Flea.
All three accent pillows available in the shop. (shop here)
Vintage lamps from Gold Dust Goods, because I love supporting other small businesses!
That’s the end of the tour! I’ve loved both versions of the house, I’m sure there will be more to come! Which version is your favorite? We’d love to hear from you and as always, let us help you design your life.
