It doesn’t seem like a day goes by without a customer mentioning how good the shop smells. The delightful aroma might be from one of our candles, but it could also the scent of an Imaginary Authors Eau de Parfum.
Each team member at Coveted Home has her or his favorite scent. Our favorite scents often change depending on the season. And with spring around the corner, we’re changing over to our favorite lighter scents. A few of our favorite spring fragrances are from Imaginary Authors. Imaginary Authors is a perfume house ran by perfumer Josh Meyer in Portland, Oregon. They are not your typical perfume brand which is one of the reasons we were drawn to the line.
Each scent has its own unique story. In fact, the stories are always about imaginary novels by imaginary authors. The story behind The Soft Lawn is about Claude LeCoq.
“LeCoq published his first book, The Soft Lawn, in 1916 while still attending Princeton University. A controversial portrait of adolescent upper-class rebellion in New England, the coming-of-age story follows Hampton Perry, a charmingly snotty college tennis champ who, after years of having everything handed to him on a silver platter, finds himself handing it all back.”
The Soft Lawn is a wonderful spring scent! It is a great leisure fragrance to wear on the weekends or anytime you wish it were the weekend. Notes: Linden Blossom, Laurel & Ivy leaves, Vetiver, Oakmoss, Fresh Tennis Balls & Clay Court.
Cape Heartache is another shop favorite. Wear it for any new adventure including, but not limited to, beach bonfires, first dates, party crashing, or simply barhopping alone on a rainy night. Notes: Douglas Fir, Pine Resin, Western Hemlock, Vanilla Leaf, Strawberry, Old Growth, Mountain Fog.
