Color Therapy : Why You Need to Color-Up

I am sure you have noticed how white walls, black and white abstract art and rustic natural elements are trending in a major way. Don’t get me wrong, I love the look too. But I can be fickle and become slightly bored with something that everyone is pinning, blogging and obsessing over (hello Moroccan white shag rug).

Looking at rooms with a bold use of color and a refined design sensibility has been my respite from the overload on the current trend that has saturated the design world. Who better to turn to than the majorly talented Nick Olsen?

This stunning dining room design landed him on the cover of the August World of Interiors issue.

I love this room. I bow before anyone that can use such a bold shade of yellow and make it look so chic.

  1. Love the use of color and everything feels well thought out but not “overworked”. 🙂
