What says gracious, classic holiday entertaining like a fully stocked bar cart? If you love the idea of a bar cart but don’t have the space or need for the permanence of a new piece of furniture, may we suggest a temptingly close second? The bar tray is a simple way to get the look without rethinking your entire space for one evening of entertaining, and during the holidays, who doesn’t love ease and convenience? Whether you have a disused pair of decanters, a swizzle stick collection, or are starting fresh, putting together a drinks tray that expresses your look is fun, easy and surprisingly impactful. The first step is selecting your tray, then adding decanters and an ice bucket. While they need not match, its important that they be functional and not too heavy. Decking out your tray with the perfect bottle opener, garnish bowls and cocktail shaker is an opportunity to have some fun with mixing and matching and getting creative. The final step, of course: just add booze and watch your guests become their own mixologist.
